Where Do You Go From Here?

Philip Taylor: There's this principle of alternative ties, which is sort of connected to the idea of free will. But you might think that we could be morally responsible for what we do, so may be praiseworthy or blameworthy for what we doing. And so some people say free will doesn't require the freedom to do otherwise. To me, that gets a little confusing. I tend to focus on moral responsibility, but i think that whatever kind of freedom or control is necessary for responsibility, that don't require the ability to do Otherwise. We're gon to get into that a little bit later in this dialogue and maybe about 15, 20 minutes we'll get into it.
