Is Reduplicated Used to Mark a Distributive Plural?

In languages with a lot of reduplication, if numbers get reduplicated, this distributed sense is very common. It means something do something here and there, or do something back and forth. So you could, you know, I plant plant trees, what would mean that you plant trees here and there all over the place. Like Johnny Apple Seed. Right.
