Even if you think tha ethic is acting completely cynically, it's a case that has relevance to so many parties out epic that is worth paying attention to. The point in time that epic made their move wasn't arbitrary at all. 20 20 had seen a rising wave of anti trust investigations into gougle, apple and facebook and project liberty. Makes it sound like epic wanted to get ahead of the band wagon and have a hand in shaping the narrative rather than being at the mercy of some eventual government regulation. But those are all risks epic willing to take because the time is now.
