Homo sapiens consolidated about a half a million years ago. And then we arrive at the first socially normative agents. I think we are rational agents like apes. In a lot of activities that we do individually, I'm probably thinking just like an ape. But once we put our heads together with others, something new happens. We have joint attention relevant to things to the joint goal and collaborative self-regulation.
