Film Review - Is This Really Smart?

The more I watched it, and bear in mind I've seen it three times, the more I started to think this is a really smart piece of filmmaking. For three main reasons. There are flashbacks, but the flashbacks are used to illuminate the discussions but not to do more than that,. The atrocities are kept off screen. Hilda Goodnadotto's score was understated but actually brilliant. It reminded me of Marlon Garris' question of silence. At certain points I was even thinking of the Wizard of Oz which is a black and white world which then gives way to a colour world.
