The Effects of Seasonal Affective Disorder and Challenges in the Foster Care System

This chapter explores the correlation between living in darker northern climates and seasonal affective disorder (SAD), as well as the challenges faced by children in foster care such as frequent moves, school changes, and abysmal graduation rates. It also discusses the high likelihood of incarceration for foster youth who have experienced multiple placements.
