When I first started watching law and order, as in like when it first aired back in the Pleistocene era, law and order was really ripped from the headlines. And you kind of got the sense that they just they didn't know how to really end the wire. It was also sort of a victim of the changing like a lot of shows. Like NYPD Blue and a lot of these shows from the 90s that were conceived in or the late 80s. All of a sudden sort of kind of struggled with some of the foundational assumptions of the shows.
