The Role of Ideology in Leadership

In the last 30 or 40 years, our model of leadership has been primarily a model of management rather than leadership. And I want to sort of take apart this era into three components, one which affects the whole, and then two which affect the individual. The first is that behind every concept of an order, a political order like neoliberalism, like what preceded it is an ideology. There's particular ideas about how the world works. But very much, what happened was, and there's another really interesting book called The Globalist by Quinn Slobodan, Sloboden, I think I say pronounce it. And he talks about that what I've been in the 1970s was a
