Is Alan Greenspan Right to Lean Against the Credit Bubble?

In 2005, you confronted Alan Greenspan at Jackson Hole with that kind of perspective that the Fed was being overly easy with policy. He said he didn't know of any example of anybody ever leaning against a credit bubble where they'd done so successfully. They'd just clean up afterwards. And our view was that one, it was possible to lean against the credit bubble and that conversely cleaning up afterwards would not be as easy as Alan Greenspan anticipated it would be.
