Is It a Direct Object in John Six Forty Four?

The words ete pala, many years are in the accusative. So it's conceivable that what the translators of the septuagent are saying is that god halcod many years for them,. or with them, or to them, or whatever. But why is there not a single translator in all of scripture that even mentions that as a possible reading of this text? I went through every single one of these translations. Not a single one translate it as what you heare. And so even if you w're to translate it your way, it's still's not helping your case a lot.
