Structure and Patterns in Geospatial Data
The difference between unstructured data, data that does not have these semantics attached to it and structured data is a totally different problem. What you're looking for is a kind of meaning that is abstracted beyond the raw structure or the format in which the records are represented. You want the structure that's inherent in its geospatial coordinates and perhaps a grid that you use to represent the entire world or the globe. And so we should be able to extract these kinds of patterns from the records of places.
