This is a family of views I call them the norm changing views. This is sort of the label that I decided to use for this chapter, the Oxford Handbook. So one might say that to forgive is to release an offender from a reparative obligation. And again, we can think about that in terms of our earlier cases,. whereas the standard view says that what's going on when Andrea forgives Kelly for cheating is that Andrea feels a different way.
