What's the Government's View on Teacher's Pay?
We want to pay rise which will match inflation, and that needs to be the start of a correction of teacher's pay. With a huge profession like teaching, you cannot impose a 23% real terms cut and expect that profession to thrive. We need proper negotiations and we need a significant offer on the table for this year. And just give us your really specific lists of asks from the government then. So we're saying to the government, we want an inflation-proofed pay rise.
