The Importance of Fiber Type Specific Hypertrophy

For the first time this study showed definitive evidence of fiber type specific hypertrophy. We do have a continuum of different muscle fiber types and our understanding of that has become much more nuanced. The basic idea is that a strength or power athlete might actually want to only get hypertrophy in their type two X fibers, the most powerful ones.
