Stock Movers: Newmont, Compass, and Coinbase

On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Newmont (NEM) shares rise after the gold miner Newmont sold a 13.3% stake in Orla Mining, a Canadian mineral exploration company. eek: Newmont also agreed to sell its Coffee Project in the Yukon, Canada to Fuerte Metals Corporation for up to $150 million.
- Compass (COMP) shares fall after the company agreed to buy Anywhere Real Estate in a $1.5 billion stock deal. This would cement Compass’s status as the largest residential brokerage in the US.
- Coinbase (COIN) shares fall after the company raised $60 million in fresh venture funds. The new dollars will go partly toward tie-ups with Coinbase.
