If a pandemic is declared over too soon, we may find ourselves going backwards rather than forwards in time. In order for this pandemic to be declared over, it has to end in more ways than one. We need adequate samples of the new variants to understand what they are doing the population. If we don't, we won't know when or if the pandemic is actually over. And unless protesting widely, getting fo samples, doing that work, continuing that science. Exactly.
