The Joy of Granular Synthesis
Granular synthesis is the process of synthesizing sound into grains, granularness. Then you can play with those parameters to give them a flow or an evolution that can then match like what's happening on screen with the characters doing. One of the hardest things about sound design and one of the keys to making it successful is matching what is happening to picture. And luckily your voice is incredible for doing that kind of stuff.
