"We want to have an 84 scenario where one or two banks causes the Fed to stop and then the party begins," Lloyd Blankfein says. "I don't care about First Republic because we had a lot of ads about it and because it was Safra Bank... And then we had these really fancy people running and say, listen, I got a vineyard and I bank at First Republic." He adds that he's not going to go against Apollo for ever's sake but they may be overextended.
