The Body and the Soul, the Two Principles of the One Being

The body is made for the soul, but this does not mean that the body is a mere instrument of the soul. The human soul is such a substance that it needs the body to be completed self. When we die, we don't turn into angels. We remain human souls, the beatific vision, with our bodies. There's an immaterial element to human thought that cannot be explained by bodily organs.
