Cedric Eru is a small-scale olive farmer in the Valé de la Ruyat, France. In 2015 he started seeing migrants and offering them shelter on his farm. This principled view of migrants as individuals with rights would lead Cedric down a difficult path. He challenged his neighbors, his fellow citizens and ended up in court, defending the values enshrined in the French Constitution.
