Is There a Limitation of the UK's Energy Supply?
The u.K. Government has a policy of 'we don't care what the price is, we're going to pay it whatever' But if speculators really do step in, this could be like the bank of england with george soros in the nineties - where speculators will trade against someone with almost unlimited resources. The other problem is the structural problem with the longer term problem, which is, where do you get your energy from? Clearly, if we do move to renewables, those can be generated within the country. So if you've got dependency on things like fossil fuels, then you now there's a real problem,. which is going to recur in future.
