If the degree of saturation didn't change with the pressures, then this wouldn't work. Red blood sols would grab on to oxygen in the lungs and they never let it go. Conversely, in the tissues, where giving up oxygen and taking up carmond oxide. So these mechanisms insure that you have a flow of carbon d oxide from the tissues to the lungs. And it all works as it should.
