Fascists would meet the increasing strength and size of socialism with an increase in the frequency and severity of violence that they needed out. The party would make a decisive change in their path at the National Fascist Conference held in Rome during November 1921. This involved a much firmer control from the very top, with a pledge of fealty to Mussolini being a new part of membership within the party. In terms of economics, we are overtly anti-socialists.
