Kelly's Second Inquest
The first inquest into Kelly's death took place in 2020, three years after she died. Stephen Gayne was convicted for domestic abuse two years before her death. Family embarked on a fight for a new inquest that would investigate the responsibility of the police and his role. The second inquest starts in late June 2023. Their job is to decide how Kelly died, whether she was unlawfully killed, and if police failings contributed to her death.
