I think it's very, very plausible that we could do a whole brain emulation in the limit of sort of this really, really intensive kind of simulation of your brain. And one way to get that is like, what is ultimately driving, when you look inside your mind and you go, I'm conscious, there's something that you're reacting to or detecting. The easiest, somewhat easier argument is to imagine now, gradually just making yourself into a system like that.
