Natural Law as an Expression of Divine Intelligence

To grasp binding or obligatory natural law principles does imply an authority, a lawgiver. How and in what way one conceives of the lawgiver as divine may vary. Natural law prohibitions against adultery, theft and murder are bound up with our very nature as embody, social, rational beings. According to natural law theory, god's commands for our behavior are incoded in the very constitution of what we are. The practical experience of moral obligation leads people to knowledge of god and his providence over us.
