I once interviewed Al Gore and my first question to him was tell me about your grandparents. And because he'd actually turned down... We'd met for a few minutes before the interview before it was a public event. He sort of turned down any chance to talk about pre-questions or anything. So two threads here. The first is that research mechanism of asking people to tell the big narrative, starting with grandparents going into their life now and presumably going forward as well.
Have you ever felt that your life could be more than a simple career? Today I've invited Bruce Feiler to be here. He's the author of six consecutive New York Times bestsellers, and by the end of this episode, you'll be able to escape the suffocating idea that all there is to a career is to go higher and higher on a single linear ladder of success. This is not the way to your highest contribution and Feiler will explain how.
