The Ethics of Supreme Court Justices

Justice Sonia Sotomayor has made more than $3 million on selling her books. Would that be an ethics violation? I'm not going to prejudge it until the facts are known in complete form. The rules and proposals we're making for a quantum ethics and disclosure will apply to every single Supreme Court justice, whether they were appointed by a Democratic president or a Republican president.
