The Importance of Visibility in Queer Culture
I feel like we would be remiss just not to talk about how the show put Miss Jay on television in the early 2000s. This was groundbreaking and very important in queer culture. And for all of the horrible things that it did, it really uplifted some incredible people by just giving them visibility. No matter what the result was, there's still value in the visibility, even if some of it was had negative results.
