Plant Machetes Are a New Form of Language

Artist David Bowen has attached electrodes to the leaves of a filler dendron plant. The electrical signals are fed into an open source microcontroller and ground wire. This data is then directly mapped to the movements of the robotic arm, which is holding the machete. Lots of other scientists study these same electrical signals of plants and mushrooms as a potential form of language.
