The goal here of this level of AI development is to allow us to work less and be more productive. I'm very much in the augmentation camp where I believe humans aren't going to be anything. It's still early stages with iPhone 3G stage, but any child in the world soon in the next few years will be able to have their own personalized tutor or personalized doctor. But if it's centralized and that's the only option then it probably won't go so well.
