I've been doing the official Dungeons and Dragons comic series since 2014 when Fifth Edition launched. In many ways, it was actually an advantage because these were made for people who don't know this stuff. I interfaced directly with Wizards most of the time when it comes to that approval. That built up a good relationship. And then Adam Lee, who is one of the heads of story over there, invited me in late 2017 to come into the office for four days and brainstorm on what would eventually become Baldur's Gate Descent Into Avernus.
