The Importance of Community in the Church

LZ Granderson: I think what church gives us is the truth about the world and it actually names our condition. LZ: Being part of a church community isn't simply about do we ask more or ask less, it's about do we have one place in our week where we are reminded of who we are? LZ: Christianity has always been somewhat demanding. That's kind of the point. What we do have is an invitation to this other form of life that can ultimately free you from the anxiety, the competition, the sense of meaninglessness which will rob you of day to day joy.
