The Big Bang is a matter of science rather than faith, so the Church doesn't have a teaching on it. The Catholic Church does not take a young Earth creationism view of things. Pope Pius XII was himself a big supporter of the Big Bang. Do not identify the Big Bang with the moment in Genesis where God says, let there be light.
