Is There a Spectrum of Science Fiction Writers?
Not every science fiction writer cares that much to do the research and think about these things at an academic level. So i think, you know, she may be an outlier. And it's funny, because the novel that i'm writing right now, um, which won't be out for like a year, is autonomous. It has a lot of academics in it, um scientists, but also social scientists. The best equipped science fiction writers are true generalists in the old school sense of the word.
