United Airlines Flight 93 - A Brief History
United Airlines Flight 93 didn't take off until 842, about 40 minutes late. The hijackers aboard another plane were already bearing down on Manhattan. By 928, two of the other hijack planes had already reached their targets in New York City and a third was headed for the Pentagon. A delayed departure from the airport gave them something no other victims had on 9-11.
