Aquinas says all things receive an active existence from being itself. But they each receive their own limited, finite active existence and in that way they're different from the source. So we have like a metaphysical alpha. We could call that as an alpha. It's like a necessary being and everything else receives its being from that. There's a number of objections that can be raised. What do we call this?
