Brent: Why do we study the greats? Like, Abraham Lincoln or Napoleon or Einstein. Do you know who they studied? They studied Jesus. So like, why in the world are we not willing to study Jesus? It doesn't make much sense. Brent set up a meeting with his pastor when he was 14 years old because he had questions about faith. He walked out of there kind of deciding that faith life wasn't for him and that I would just probably never be satisfied from other people around me.

Brent Beshore is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Permanent Equity, a Midwestern-based private equity firm.

One part of his Twitter bio intrigued me: "Former atheist who now follows Jesus."

And in this conversation, we explored why he initially rejected God, his turning point, and where to start with the Bible.
