There is a widespread myth that we have to be careful about what we eat so that we don't cause protein deficiency. We know today that it's virtually impossible to design a calorie sufficient diet, which is lacking in protein and any of the amino acids. The only exception I found was that if you're an elite athlete, it turns out you can need more protein or whatever.
