It was that coming home and being somewhere safe, it's almost like, i don'tknow, recording or telling them that you existed ind what. We had floods in two thousand 14 in cashmer, and i remember e vasim's house was impacted by the floods quite a bit. They lost their house, and apparently the only things that he saved were those letters. I feel that act of preserving those letters and and letting them dry in an inner hall upstairs was almost like being grateful for having survived those er years. That must have produced a survivor guilt in me as a child that i probably wasn't aware of till much later, till i actually read and knew what surviver guilt even
