Neurosurgeons Transplant Brain Tissue Into Rats
Scientists have successfully grafted new lab-grown brain tissue into the brains of rats. Neurosurgeon Isaac Chen from the University of Pennsylvania began by using human blood stem cells to grow mini brains that are called organoids in his lab, which he then transplanted into the recipient rats. He said: "It's not a perfect replicate of the brain, but it says good as we can do right now"
