The Importance of Local Collaboration in a Remote Team
The focus is teams which are localised collaborating asynchronously, interfacing each other. We have fairly good access to people via Slack. Our stand-ups, we have stand-ups currently, four stand-ups which are on the call,. One, and it may be more later, which is fully async. People continue with stuff. We talk, but when we have interaction points later in the day, you don't feel that sense of loss. And some of my teammates, I hadn't met for months after I joined this context. And I felt like I knew them by the time we met in person. But our tools have evolved to the stage where it feels first-class
