What Caused the Death of Istal Woman?
In 19 70, pino barbital was commonly used as a tranquillizer to help with insomnia and anxiety. The recommended dose for this drug is between 30 and 320 milligrams a day. She took around 60 of them all at once, or about 21 times the recommended daily dose. Her death was ruled to be due to a combination of carbon monoxide poisoning from the fire and peno barbital poisoning from the pills.
