Harry Potter and the Month and Date

Since Harry Potter is based in England, what can you do in England once you turn 18 that you can't do in America? You can purchase and consume alcohol. We took advantage of that rule when we traveled over there for, um, that's a different bonus actually. Because of how the month and date are written on IDs in the UK, he could actually buy alcohol in the US earlier than he could in the UK. It allowed him to buy alcohol earlier in the US than he otherwise would if the person reading his ID recognized that he was from the UK.
