There's a really wonderful quote from Al M K with the originator of object oriented programming. He says like, if you have a stupid environment, you're going to get a stupid fit. In one sense, this market stuff is a sort of optimization engine, but it's a deranged optimization engine. It optimizes for the stupidest possible thing that it can produce. And it's creating an environment that's pathological to live in. "It feels so clear to me and hopefully to you guys that it's not working"
