The Government's Opposition to a Former RAF Base
One of these sites could eventually be in the Prime Minister's constituency. They're looking at proposals for Catrick Garrison, big army base in North Yorkshire using some land there. There's another prospect of one in the south east as well in Sussex. The argument is also that if you have hundreds or even thousands of migrants say on a former RAF base, then you could have a GP that is based there to try and deal with their medical requirements. Without placing additional pressures on the local NHS.
