The Importance of Skepticism in AI Arguments
I don't place that much stock on these sort of, let's say classic, but also just higher level or more abstract arguments for for AI risk. One is I think that the issue, the arguments often seem to have issues with them in the sense that they, for example, prove too much. And the other is just some level of skepticism about abstract argumentation in general. It's just so, so easy to actually just basically screw up in some way by not being responsive to concrete details because you don't yet exist.
