Mary Bell: The 11-Year-Old Killer
Killer Psyche
00:00
The Trial of Mary and Norma Brown
Mary and Norma were accused of killing, quote, solely for the pleasure and excitement of murder. Neither girl ever said to the police or anyone else that they did it for pleasure and that it excited them. Psychiatrists who examined her said Mary displayed psychopathic tendencies. Despite being extremely disruptive in court and frequently storming out, Mary's mother Betty put her hands to her face and sobbed. She later told her daughter, no one could be as bad as she was and no one felt any compassion for her.
