MRI Can't Solve the Mind-Brain Problem
MRI is a magnificent machine, but it's not very good at establishing what the mechanisms are of the brain that accounts for the mind. MRI can do extremely well into the everlasting thankfulness of everybody who's had an MRI instead of exploratory surgery. It seems like researchers are focused on answering the question that they assume that imaging can answer: where processes happen in the brain.
