New York's Little Pox Hospital

Smallpox hospital was the first of its kind in the united states. Designed by famous gothic revival architect james renwick junior, who also designed new york's grace church and smithsonian institute building known as the castle. Hospital opened to great acclaim in 18 56 but Renwick went on to design a more prominent structure called saint patrick's cathedral.
